As a passionate outdoors-woman, organic farmer and forager, I knew from the beginning that Blue Heart Gardens teas would include only wholesome, natural ingredients from the bounty this island has to offer. No imported or artificial ingredients, simply teas authentic to their Newfoundland origin.

It has been a pleasure to develop these unique blends. ‘Boreal Bliss’ was the signature tea for the internationally award-winning restaurant, Raymond’s, delighting guests from around the globe.

All the herbs, blooms and botanicals are either sustainably wildcrafted from coastal meadows and woodlands or grown organically at Blue Heart Gardens and other local farms. The teas are handcrafted in small batches to ensure they stay fresh and retain their nutritious properties.

What’s in a name?

Blue Heart Gardens is located on the wild coast of Trinity Bay, NL. It is named after a quote by famous American oceanographer and conservationist Sylvia Earle, who called the ocean the “blue heart of the planet.” The plants of Blue Heart Gardens are nourished by abundant seaweed and nurtured according to permaculture ethics and principles.
